So we all use a hat while fishing, that’s a given.  So why is this considered a tip for trout fishing?  This trout fishing tip comes down to a few areas.

If you are fishing for any amount of time in the summer, the sunlight will get to you as it reflects off the water.  The right fishing hat will help you keep your cool, literally!  On those days where the sun is your friend – think those cool fall mornings and even late spring northern adventures – you will want a lightweight, but insulating cap that can absorb a bit of sunshine.
